The bank was recognized for its impressive growth, seamless integration of fintech solutions into its ecosystem, and for making modern financial services widely accessible.
Euromoney, an international financial publication, has been awarding its Awards for Excellence since 1991. The awards evaluate institutions across more than 70 markets based on criteria such as the scalability of digital products, contribution to Open Banking, strong partnerships, and investments in cybersecurity.
For us, this award is not only international recognition of our leadership in Uzbekistan’s fintech market, but also further confirmation that our strategy to develop modern digital services through localized infrastructure is the right one. Today, the bank’s flagship product — the Uzum card powered by the Visa payment system — is used by over two million people. Clients can make cashless payments, access a revolving credit limit for purchases, and apply for installment plans directly through the mobile app. In May, Uzum Bank became the first in the country to pilot a universal QR code for businesses.
