On October 30, 2024, Uzum Bank opened access to Uzum Visa virtual cards for residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The application process takes just a few minutes, and both servicing and top-ups are available with no fees. During the testing period, more than 250,000 residents of the country have already opened and actively used the Uzum card.

The Uzum card allows users to make payments in stores and online services, earn cashback, transfer money, and withdraw cash. Transfers to UZCARD and HUMO cards are free until the end of the year*, while transfers between Uzum cards will always be commission-free.

Uzum Bank customers will soon be able to apply not only for a virtual card but also for a physical Uzum card. This card retains all the advantages of the digital version and expands operational capabilities for offline payments and cash withdrawals, both within the country and abroad.

“The Uzum card will become the financial hub of our digital services ecosystem. This is the first product from Uzum Bank that we have developed and scaled using our own IT infrastructure. It is important for us to create a tech-driven service that meets the needs of the people of Uzbekistan. To achieve this, we conducted closed testing and refined the product based on customer feedback, and we are happy to open card issuance to all residents of the Republic,” said Egor Abramets, CEO of Uzum Fintech.

Customers can top up their Uzum card with microloans of up to 25 million soums (approximately USD 1,900) from their available limit and use it just like regular money: for making purchases, transferring funds, and withdrawing cash. The Uzum Visa card is integrated with Uzum Market and Uzum Tezkor, giving bank customers access to all the advantages and special offers within the Uzum ecosystem.
