Starting October 10, Uzum Market is introducing a new scheme for working with partners — FBS (Fulfilment by Seller). Now, sellers can manage their stock, package goods, and store them in their own warehouses, while the marketplace provides the online storefront and logistics to the customer.

Within 48 hours of receiving an order from a customer, the seller packs the product and delivers it to the Uzum Market warehouse. Sellers can manage their warehouse operations as usual. For instance, if they have indicated in their personal account that their warehouse is closed on weekends, these days will not be counted within the 48-hour period for order shipment. Once the product arrives at the Uzum Market warehouse, it will be forwarded for delivery to the customer — either to a pickup point or the specified address. Customers will receive their orders the next day after the product arrives at the warehouse, with an overall delivery time of approximately 3 days.

The commission and logistics fees are the same for sellers using the FBS model and those working under the FBO model, where the marketplace handles both product storage in its warehouses and delivery to the customer. Sellers with their own warehouse spaces, such as manufacturers, distributors, or owners of offline stores, can choose the most convenient scheme for working with the national marketplace.

The launch of the new model on Uzum Market will make the platform more convenient for a greater number of sellers. Now, sellers can manage the storage and packaging of their products themselves, allowing them to quickly test new niches and categories and bring new assortments to our platform. The new model will be especially convenient for entrepreneurs who already have their own warehousing infrastructure. It will also benefit sellers whose products may not always be suitable for storage in the marketplace’s warehouses, such as large items. For us, the introduction of FBS is another opportunity to significantly expand the platform’s assortment and provide residents of Uzbekistan with access to an even wider range of products.

Today, more than 11,000 entrepreneurs are developing their businesses on the national marketplace Uzum Market. The marketplace creates equal conditions for all Uzbek entrepreneurs, with around 30% of sellers being women. By the end of 2024, the marketplace plans to triple the number of pickup points, covering all cities and towns with a population of over 10,000 people.
