Uzum remains one of Uzbekistan’s largest taxpayers, reflecting the growing role of digital services and the platform economy in the country’s economic development.

This figure does not include the tax contributions of more than 100,000 entrepreneurs — merchants and partners across Uzum’s services. By growing their businesses within the digital ecosystem, they operate formally, gain access to millions of customers, as well as the ecosystem’s logistics, marketing and financial solutions. According to Uzum Market analysts, merchant turnover on the marketplace increased by 60% year over year, driving a corresponding increase in the tax contributions made by entrepreneurs.

Our ambition extends beyond building a leading technology company — we are committed to creating tangible value for Uzbekistan’s economy. The growth in tax contributions demonstrates that digital services are becoming an integral part of the country’s economic infrastructure. They enable entrepreneurs to grow their businesses transparently, expand sales, create jobs and make modern financial services more accessible to millions of people.

The platform economy is becoming one of the key drivers of small and medium-sized business growth in Uzbekistan. Unlike traditional retail, a digital ecosystem integrates multiple services — e-commerce, payments, banking, BNPL solutions, logistics and merchant tools. This model not only increases economic activity within the platform but also expands the country’s tax base by helping businesses digitize their operations, increasing the share of transparent cashless transactions and supporting the gradual transition of businesses from offline to online.

Uzum continues to invest in technology, logistics infrastructure and financial services. The company remains focused on expanding access to digital financial solutions, supporting entrepreneurs across the country, developing critical infrastructure and creating services that help people and businesses solve everyday challenges.
